Teachers seek clarity on online transfer policy

Amid prolonged uncertainty over the online transfer process, government school teachers in Haryana have urged the state government to provide clarity and expedite action on the long-pending matter.

Raising their voice under the banner of Shikshak Tabadla Karvao Sangharsh Samiti Haryana, office bearers of the teachers’ body appealed to Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda to intervene directly and address the growing unrest among teachers. Association president Krishan Kumar Nirman expressed concern over the repeated postponement of the transfer drive, despite earlier assurances.

“We have been hearing since January that transfers will take place in March. Later, it was postponed to May, then June, and now half of July has passed — but there is still no update,” said Nirman.

“There is no clear communication from the department, and even statements from the Education Minister have stopped.”

The teachers’ body warned that the lack of transparency and prolonged delays were not only causing confusion but also leading to mental harassment of thousands of teachers awaiting transfers.

“Every day, thousands of teachers wait in anxiety. The Education Department’s silence is concerning and is tarnishing its image,” Nirman added.
