Pune Video: Molestation Accused Attacks Police With Pepper Spray, Vandalises Station, Creates Ruckus
An acussed named Raju alias Barkya Londhe was brought to the Sahakar Nagar Police Station in Pune at around 1 am on Friday when he started ranting and broke the windows of the station.
The 23-year-old accused in multiple molestation cases created a huge ruckus, sprayed pepper spray on 4–5 policemen and vandalised the window glass of the Sahakar Nagar Police Station. The accused alleged he was innocent and demanded to be released.
The accused has been identified as a resident of Taljai Vasahat, Sahakar Nagar.
According to the police, following two molestation cases registered at Sahakar Nagar Police Station in March and May this year, the police had been searching for him.
Acting on information, police went to arrest Londhe near his house around 2am. Londhe created a ruckus while being detained, alleging he was innocent. During the commotion, he used pepper spray on the police in an attempt to escape.
After Londhe was brought to the police station around 3am, he started ranting and broke the windows of the station with his hand. Moreover, he also threatened the policemen, saying he would kill them.
Senior Police Inspector at Sahakar Nagar Police Station, Rahul Gaud, speaking to The Free Press Journal, said, "Londhe has now been shifted to a hospital for medical treatment. Moreover, a fresh case will be registered against him for creating a ruckus in the police station and causing disturbance in government duty."
Further investigation is underway.
