Chhatarpur (Madhya Pradesh): Due to heavy rains in Chhatarpur life has become disrupted.
A dead body of a youth who drowned in the drain in Chhatarpur has been recovered on Friday.
According to reports, the youth drowned while crossing the drain due to strong current in the morning. Also, two people died in village Dhilapur where a house collapsed on the mother and daughter sleeping in the house at night.
Chhatarpur MLA, Lalita Yadav visits the rain-hit areas and orders immediate relief measures.
Rivers and drains are in spate and water has entered people's houses. Movement has been affected due to broken bridges and culverts at many places.

Amid heavy rains and waterlogging, MLA Lalita Yadav visited affected areas of Chhatarpur early Friday. She ordered shelter and food for affected people and launched a rescue operation after a youth was swept away in Narayanpura.
In Dhilapur, a girl died and her mother was injured in a house collapse. The MLA assured government aid to the family.
Yadav also inspected blocked drains in Mau Darwaza and Sagar Road, clearing them with JCBs and vowing to remove encroachments to prevent future flooding.
