Who is Saiyaara actress Aneet Padda, once worked as extra in Kajol’s movie, now stars as lead in YRF film

Chunky Panday’s nephew Ahaan Panday created magic with his debut film Saiyaara under the Dharma Productions banner. The movie, which was released on July 18, has been making headlines for its intriguing storyline. While Ahaan is already a known face in the industry, the actress starring opposite him is a fresh face in Bollywood — Aneet Padda. Many might assume Saiyaara marks Aneet’s debut, but that’s not the case.

Who is Aneet Padda?

Born in October 2002 to a middle-class working family in Amritsar, Aneet is not from the industry. As a teenager, she began working in advertisements as a model, which opened several opportunities for her. She successfully balanced her modeling career while completing her Bachelor’s degree at Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi.

What Was Aneet Padda’s Debut?

Aneet Padda first appeared as an extra in the 2022 Kajol-starrer Salaam Venky. Her breakthrough came when she featured in the Amazon Prime Video show Big Girls Don’t Cry. Apart from acting, Aneet is also an avid singer. In 2024, she recorded her first song, Masoom. That same year, she took on a supporting role in the TV show Yuva Sapno Ka Safar, where she was credited as Aneet Kaur.

Aneet Padda’s Major Breakthrough Film

Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri, is proving to be the biggest breakthrough for Aneet Padda. The director revealed that he was looking for fresh faces for his film. According to reports, Aneet was one of hundreds of girls who auditioned for Saiyaara, but her performance so impressed Mohit and the top executives at YRF that she was quickly fast-tracked into the role.
