The murder of notorious gangster Chandan Mishra inside a Patna hospital has revealed a tangled web of betrayal, rivalry, and gang warfare. At the center of the storm is Sheru Singh, once a close ally of Chandan Mishra, now allegedly a mastermind in the plot that led to his brutal killing. Chandan and Sheru were former partners who once ran a powerful gang together. But after a violent fallout in Bhagalpur jail over supremacy, their friendship turned into deadly enmity. This enmity deepened over time, eventually dragging in a third gang led by Tausif Baadshah, who carried out Chandan’s killing on July 17 inside Paras Hospital. In a scene straight out of a gangster film, Tausif and five armed shooters walked into the hospital corridor, stormed into Room 209, and executed Chandan in seconds. CCTV footage shows Tausif moving with chilling confidence, face uncovered, showing no fear. Sources suggest Sheru, currently jailed in West Bengal’s Purulia, may have ordered the hit using Tausif's gang. The murder raises serious questions about Bihar’s law and order, as gangsters roam fearlessly—even inside hospitals.
