Asim Munir is using Bushra Bibi to…, Imran Khan makes shocking allegation against Pakistan army chief from jail

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, who is currently in jail, has once again launched a strong attack on the country’s army chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir. Imran Khan has claimed that his condition in jail is worse than that of terrorists. He warned that if anything happens to him in prison, Asim Munir should be held fully responsible.

“In recent days, the treatment I’ve received in jail has become even more harsh. The same is happening with my wife, Bushra Bibi. The TV in her cell has even been taken away. We have been stripped of all our basic and legal rights,” he said.

Imran Khan also alleged that while a convicted military officer, murderers and terrorists are kept in better conditions and is enjoying VIP facilities in jail, he himself is being mentally tortured. He added, “I have never bowed down to oppression, and I never will.”

“If anything happens to me, Munir will be responsible,” says Imran Khan

Imran Khan has claimed that a Colonel and the jail superintendent are following direct orders from Pakistan’s army chief, Asim Munir, inside the prison. Speaking to his party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Khan said, “If anything happens to me while I’m in jail, the party must make sure that Asim Munir is held accountable.”

“They’re targeting my wife to break me mentally”

Imran Khan has accused Asim Munir, of taking personal revenge against him. He said the issue started when, during his time as Prime Minister, he removed Munir from his post as head of the ISI (Pakistan’s intelligence agency).

According to Khan, after being removed, Asim Munir tried to meet his wife, Bushra Bibi, through Zulfi Bukhari. But Bushra Bibi refused. Imran said, “Since that day, Munir took it personally. Now he’s using my wife to put pressure on me and break me mentally.”

Imran Khan has been in jail for almost two years, facing several criminal cases. His wife, Bushra Bibi, has also been sentenced to 14 years in jail in the Al-Qadir Trust case.

Khan has often claimed that both he and his wife were arrested as part of a political conspiracy, aimed at silencing and weakening them.

PTI says Imran Khan kept in ‘death cell’, denied basic rights

After Imran Khan’s recent statement, his party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)  claimed that the former prime minister is being kept in a “death cell” and is not being given his basic rights. According to a report by Dawn, PTI’s Central Information Secretary Sheikh Waqqas Akram said that Khan is being kept alone in his cell for 22 hours every day.

He added, “Even though Imran Khan is a former prime minister, he is not being treated with any respect. In fact, he is not even getting the basic rights that every ordinary prisoner should have. This is very serious because he is the most popular leader in the country, and the whole nation is worried about his safety and health.”

Akram also said that Khan has been cut off from the outside world—he is not allowed to read newspapers, watch TV, or have books. On top of that, he is not allowed to meet friends or political colleagues either.
