Nicole Kidman shares video from the set of ‘Practical Magic 2’, filming begins
LOS ANGELES, July 19: Hollywood stars Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock reunited on the sets of “Practical Magic 2”, as they began filming for the sequel to their 1998 film.
Featuring Kidman and Bullock as the Owens sisters, the original film was helmed by Griffin Dunne. It was based on the 1995 novel “Practical Magic” by Alice Hoffman.
The sequel has both actors, Kidman and Bullock, reprising their roles of Gillian Owens and Sally Owens, respectively. It is set to release in theatres on September 18, 2026.
Kidman shared a video on her Instagram handle from the set of “Practical Magic 2” on Friday as she met her co-star, Bullock. The video began with the camera pointing towards the actors, who share a hug.
The caption of the post read, “The witches are back. Owens sisters’ first day on set! #PracticalMagic.”
“Practical Magic” followed the story of two witch sisters raised by their quirky aunts in a small town. Together, they confront narrow-minded prejudice and a curse that jeopardises their chances of finding true love.
The film also starred Alexandra Artrip, Evan Rachel Wood, and Stockard Channing.
The sequel was confirmed by the makers in June last year. “Practical Magic 2” is directed by Susanne Bier. (PTI)
