Delhi University UG Admission 2025: First seat allocation list today; know how to check
Delhi University (DU) is set to release the 1st seat allocation list for the UG admission today by 5:00 PM. Candidates who will be allotted a seat in this round are expected to confirm their seats by July 21, 2025. Phase 2 of the Common Seat Allocation (CSAS) UG process has concluded. The university had also begun its Extra-Curricular Activities (ECA) admission trials from July 18 onwards and is likely to be concluded by July 26th. These trials will assess the candidates in fields like music, dance, debate, theatre, digital media, yoga, and fine arts.

Candidates were provided with the simulated ranks, which were based on the candidates’ scores and programme combination preferences at the end of phase 2 on July 15. After its conclusion, a choice preference correction window was opened, which allowed candidates to revise their course and college preferences on July 16.

DU received the highest number of applicants this year for about 71,642 seats across 79 programs in 69 colleges and departments in total. B.Com (hons) being the most popular choice receiving about 20 lakh preferences followed by B.Com with over 15 lakh preferences, BA English (hons) with 12 lakhs+ preferences and BA Political Science (hons) with about 10 lakh preferences. In terms of colleges, Shri ram college of commerce (SRCC) received about 38,795 preferences, followed by the hindu college with about 31,901 preferences, Hansraj college with 15,902, St. Stephen’s College with 12,413, and Miranda House with 11,403.
For the BA program, BA (History + Political Science) was the most popular choice amongst the candidates, followed by BA (Economics + Political Science) and BA (English + Economics), having [7,60,233], [3,88,407], [3,49,367] entries interested, respectively. Humanities-based programs were the most popular with about 58.89% entries, followed by commerce-based programs with 20.89% entries and science-based programs with 20.22% entries.
