VIDEO: Gwalior Sub-Inspector Suspended For Dragging Man 500 Metres On His Mercedes’ Bonnet Over Wrong Parking

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A sub-inspector was suspended for allegedly assaulting two youths in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior. The accused cop’s Mercedes hit the youths, apparently, over wrong parking. As a result, the victims fell on the bonnet. The video futher shows the accused racing the car, even as one of the victim hung by the bonnet.

This incident reported outside Hotel Bellevue in Patel Nagar behind the SP office. Footage of a young man named Ankit Jadoun hanging by the bonnet of a car of University police station sub-inspector Prashant Sharma had come to light.

The viral video led to a stir in Bhopal. DGP Kailash Makwana himself took cognizance of the entire incident. and orders suspension of the accused sub-inspector.

In the video, the sub-inspector is seen speeding the car with the two victims clinging by the bonnet one by one. First, he is seen taking the hotel operator Shivam Bhadoria and then his friend Ankit Jadoun. The visuals also shows a crowd chasing the vehicle to rescue the victims.

Notably, during the visit of BJP state president Hemant Khandelwal, there was a traffic jam in Patel Nagar. Ankit Jadon's Swift car was parked outside Hotel Bellevue here. When the traffic jam started, Sub Inspector Prashant Sharma called the staff to remove the car, but no one arrived.

Furious, the inspector broke the glass of the car, which led to a heated dispute between the two. The cop moved his Mercedes forward, hitting Ankit Jadon. The accused raced the car as Jadon fell on the bonnet and dragged him for 500 meters.

On the other hand, IG Arvind Saxena admitted that prima facie it was the sub-inspector's mistake. Such behavior of anyone in a public place is inappropriate. Due to this, he has been put on the line.
