GNDU extends admission deadline to July 23
After a good response from students applying for reserved category of rural and border areas, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar has extended the admission counseleling dates for thw reserved category till July 23.
The university had earlier asked students from border and rural areas to take admission in the vacant seats in various courses under the above categories till July 17.
This decison was made as many students had not selected the border or rural category during the admission application or had inadvertently left it out, due to which many seats remained vacant. Registrar GNDU Prof Karamjeet Singh Chahal said that a facilitation centre has been set up at administrative block to help students for admissions. /” The students who are not technologically updated can come to the centre to seek admission. We are getting tremendous response for admissions from rural and border area students. Most of our seats are filled up and others are filling up fast.”
Dean Academic Affairs Dr Palwinder Singh said that the university has allocated 5-5 percent additional seats in various courses for students from border and village areas, which can become a new hope for hundreds of students.
