Ensure proper drainage of rainwater during monsoon: DC to officials
Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Panchal conducted an inspection visit to the tehsil office in Phagwara on Friday to review the delivery of citizen services and assess the progress of ongoing administrative initiatives.
In a meeting with administrative officials, the Deputy Commissioner emphasised the need to ensure proper drainage of rainwater during the monsoon season and directed continuous fogging operations across the city to prevent vector-borne diseases.
During the visit to tehsil office, the DC reviewed the functioning of the recently launched e-Registry system by the Punjab Government, which aims to simplify and digitise the property registration process. He noted that the service has been successfully implemented across the district, allowing citizens to complete property registrations smoothly and efficiently.
Interacting with residents present at the tehsil office, Panchal gathered feedback on various public services being offered and assured that the administration is committed to enhancing service delivery without delays.
He also reviewed the operations of local service centres and directed officials to ensure timely access to essential services. Furthermore, he instructed the launch of a special awareness campaign to promote the state’s 1076 helpline, which allows citizens to access government services from their homes.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Jashanjeet Singh, Tehsildar Jaswinder Singh and other officials were present during the visit.
