J&K Bank holds ‘Roz-e-YUVA’, ‘Udyami Yuva’ events across UT

SRINAGAR, July 19: Committed to empowering youth through entrepreneurship, J&K Bank today organised “Roz-e-YUVA” and “Udyami YUVA Day” events under the Mission YUVA initiative across various districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
Hundreds of young entrepreneurs received loan sanction letters to establish their ventures.
The main event was held at Government Degree College Ganderbal where J&K Bank MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee was the chief guest.
Mission Director Mission YUVA Shahzad Alam and Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Jatin Kishore were also present alongside college Principal Dr Fouzia Naqshbandi and senior officers of J&K Bank.
Speaking on the occasion, MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee said, “Mission YUVA is a unique project with full Government support to benefit youth without hassles. J&K Bank stands firmly behind the youth of J&K to ensure sustainable livelihood opportunities.
“Youth-led enterprises are the backbone of local development. By facilitating access to finance under Mission YUVA, we are investing in the future of young entrepreneurs and the region’s economic growth.”
He urged beneficiaries to make the best use of the financial support, adding, “This project is close to my heart and we will work together to make it a success.”
Mission Director Shahzad Alam said, “The collaboration with J&K Bank is vital in this transformational journey. The presence of MD & CEO himself shows solidarity with the youth’s aspirations. Together we are opening new pathways of progress and hope.”
DC Ganderbal Jatin Kishore thanked J&K Bank and said, “Such events promote entrepreneurship and local heritage by supporting artisans and young entrepreneurs. I urge all beneficiaries to utilise this opportunity and become role models in society.”
General Manager Ashutosh Sareen said, “Mission YUVA registration is fully app-based and hassle-free. We also provide counselling and guidance to ensure success.”
Divisional Head Shabir Ahmad described the initiative as a joint effort for youth empowerment and livelihood generation in J&K.
At Ganderbal, many first-time entrepreneurs received sanction letters. Similar events were held in Srinagar, Rajouri, Kupwara, and other districts where beneficiaries received sanction letters and guidance from bank officials.
