Ritika inaugurates Shikha Chopra’s Rakhi Bazaar

JAMMU, July 19: Chief Spokesperson of J&K BJP Mahila Morcha, Ritika Trehan, today inaugurated the Shikha Chopra’s Rakhi Bazaar at Zone by The Park, Jammu. The vibrant event is aimed at promoting local artisans and celebrating the spirit of entrepreneurship, especially among women.
Speaking at the inauguration, Ritika Trehan said events like this serve a dual purpose — celebrating cultural traditions and creating platforms for small businesses and artisans to thrive. “This Rakhi Bazaar is a shining example of women-led initiatives that empower communities and promote self-reliance. It is heartening to see so many talented individuals showcasing their creativity and craftsmanship,” she said.
The Bazaar features a diverse array of handmade Rakhi products and other festive merchandise, all crafted by local artisans. Many women entrepreneurs and small-scale business owners from across Jammu have set up their stalls, offering unique, eco-friendly, and traditional products to the visitors.
Shikha Chopra, the organizer, said the Bazaar was envisioned as a platform to support local talent, especially women artisans, and give them visibility and business opportunities during the festive season. “This event reflects our commitment to promoting local craftsmanship and encouraging entrepreneurship at the grassroots level,” she said.
