Seminar organised to celebrate Bank Nationalization Day

JAMMU, July 19: Jammu Province Bank Employees Federation (JPBEF) here today celebrated 56th Bank Nationalization Day by organizing a seminar.
The function was presided over by Tara Singh, JPBEF president.
Arun Kumar Gupta, Federation general secretary inaugurated the seminar and told the members that when all the industries in our country were under private control, AIBEA demanded Nationalisation of Banks.
He said that nationalisation of 14 private banks was done in 1969 and that of 6 banks in 1980.
“Nationalisation of Banks was a historic step and Indian economy improved and registered phenomenal growth after this,” Arun Gupta maintained.
The program was also attended by Ashwani Pradhan, general secretary, PNBOA, Indu Bhushan Zutshi, Yogesh Kumar, Jatinder Kumar, Harminder Singh, Lucky Jamwal, office bearers and central committee members of the Federation and many comrades from all Bank’s branches.
Vote of thanks was given by Yogesh Kumar, Federation secretary.
