IIA 310th Executive Meet Charts MSME Roadmap For 2025–26, Focus On Ease Of Doing Business And AI Integration
Lucknow: In a significant move to chart the future course for India's micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) sector, the Indian Industries Association (IIA) convened its 310th Central Executive Committee meeting at IIA Bhawan in Lucknow.
This was the first meeting of the 2025–26 session and was chaired by IIA National President Dinesh Goyal, drawing participation from over 100 senior officials from Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Delhi.
The high-level gathering focused on several key issues confronting the MSME sector, including Ease of Doing Business, technology upgradation, business expansion, skill development, and exports. Members from various chapters shared on-ground experiences and contributed strategic inputs for the organization’s upcoming initiatives.
National President Dinesh Goyal highlighted IIA’s ongoing dialogue with both state and central governments, aimed at addressing the regulatory challenges MSMEs face.
“We are actively engaging with government departments through representations. Recently, we had a detailed discussion with Shri Vijay Kiran Anand, CEO of Invest UP, specifically on simplifying business procedures. IIA has submitted written suggestions, and we have been assured that these will be implemented through Nivesh Mitra 3.0,” he said.
He further informed that labor law-related issues have also been taken up during a recent meeting with Shri Shanmuga Sundaram, IAS, attended by senior officials of the PF and ESI departments. The aim, he said, is to streamline processes and reduce bureaucratic delays hampering entrepreneurship.
Looking ahead, IIA plans to organize capacity-building programs for MSMEs focusing on the application of tools from Google, Microsoft, and the integration of Artificial Intelligence to enhance industrial growth. "To support MSMEs in their tech transformation journey, we have suggested that the government provide consultants at subsidized rates," Goyal added.
Senior Vice President Alok Agarwal underscored IIA’s collaboration with the government to launch new skill development programs tailored for industrial needs. General Secretary of IIA announced that several major industrial exhibitions are scheduled for the 2025–26 session to expand market reach for MSME products both domestically and internationally. These include the Build India Expo, Defense and Engineering Goods Expo, India Solar Expo, India Food Expo, and Tourism Expo.
Meanwhile, National Treasurer Awadhesh Aggarwal confirmed that IIA is also advocating on issues such as the Pleas Park Scheme, unjustified development charges in industrial areas, and open access to electricity. “We are optimistic that positive outcomes on these matters are on the horizon,” he said.
A key decision taken during the session was to hold the 34th Annual General Meeting of IIA on August 8 at Hotel Ramada, Lucknow. With renewed energy and a comprehensive agenda, the IIA is poised to drive impactful change in the MSME landscape during the current session.
