Breaking: Severe Flooding and Rain Ravage Rajasthan, National Highways and Towns Submerged | ABP NEWS
Heavy and relentless rains have severely impacted several regions in India, with Rajasthan experiencing the worst of the flooding. In Ajmer, both urban and rural areas are submerged, with waterlogging on state highways causing major travel disruptions. Near Shokli, about 40 km from Ajmer, water levels have reached up to 1.5 feet, making the Ajmer-Kota highway nearly impassable. Residents and vehicles struggle to navigate these waterlogged roads, especially after dark. Similarly, Jodhpur and other parts of Rajasthan face increasing hardship due to persistent flooding. Floodwaters have entered homes and fields, destroying crops and isolating communities. In Madhopur, overflowing rivers have transformed entire villages into islands, submerging temples and homes up to the first floor. Meanwhile, Jammu & Kashmir’s Udhampur region has witnessed a massive landslide, blocking the Jammu-Srinagar national highway and halting traffic. Bihar’s capital Patna is also grappling with floods as rivers threaten to breach danger levels, endangering millions. With red alerts issued in over a dozen districts, the monsoon’s fury continues unabated, leaving millions struggling to cope with nature’s wrath across northern India.
