Janhit: Bihar Police Nab Five Gangsters Linked to Patna Hospital Shooting | ABP NEWS
In Patna, Bihar’s capital, a major police crackdown has targeted the underworld involved in recent violent incidents. Bihar Police and Special Task Force (STF), in collaboration with West Bengal police, arrested five key criminals linked to a shooting at Paras Hospital’s Golibar area. The arrests took place in Kolkata’s New Town area, specifically in the Sukhvrisht apartment complex, following detailed intelligence and surveillance. Among the arrested are Abhishek and Setu, suspected shooters who rented flats in the building. These men are believed to have ties with a larger gang involved in contract killings and violent shootouts, including the murder of Chandan Mishra. The prime accused, Tausif from Patna’s Fulwari Sharif area, allegedly orchestrated this murder and fled to Bengal after the crime. Notably, the gang is connected to Sheru Singh, a notorious gangster serving a life sentence in Purulia Jail, West Bengal. Sheru is suspected of coordinating crimes from prison and ordering hits through his network. Despite these arrests, Bihar’s law and order situation remains fragile, with political opposition criticizing the government’s failure to control rising crime. Police continue investigations and plan further operations to dismantle the organized crime network terrorizing Patna and neighboring regions.
