Pune Crime: Astrologer Arrested After Hugging Woman Who Had Come for Horoscope Reading
Days after a self-proclaimed godman was arrested by Bavdhan Police for allegedly practising black magic, cheating people, and secretly keeping a watch on them through a mobile phone remote access app, another shocking incident involving a fake astrologer has come to light in Pune.
The police have arrested an astrologer who tried to hug and molest a young woman in private. Instead of giving her mantras or guidance, he attempted to molest her.
As per the report by ABP Majha, complaint has been registered at the Sahkar Nagar Police station and he was put into arrest.
This incident happened in the Dhankawadi area of Pune. The police have kept quiet about some details, but the accused, Akhilesh Laxman Rajguru, has been arrested. A 25-year-old woman filed a complaint at the Sahakarnagar police station. She was told by a friend that this astrologer could tell the future by reading horoscopes and advised her to visit him.
The woman took her brother’s horoscope to the astrologer on July 12, 2025. After reading it, he told her to bring a plant for her brother. When she returned on July 18, he asked her to come again and told her to place the plant on her head and chant mantras. Suspecting something was wrong, she left. Suddenly, the astrologer hugged her and tried to molest her. She called her brother and then went to the police.
The police raided his office in Dhankawadi and arrested him. Senior Police Inspector Rahul Gaud said that after inspecting his office, they suspect he may have done similar things to others. He will be presented in court on Sunday.
The astrologer, Akhilesh Laxman Rajguru, is 45 years old and lives at Shri Swami Samarth Astrology Office, Rajdhani Apartment, near Shankar Maharaj Math, Satara Road, Dhankawadi.
