Schools Closed: Schools up to class 12th will be closed on Monday and Saturday in Moradabad, DM’s order
In view of the increasing crowd of Kanwariyas, Moradabad DM has declared holiday in all schools up to 12th standard. Under the order, schools located within 5 km radius of Delhi Road, Rampur Road and Kanth Road will remain closed on July 21 and July 23. Apart from this, there will also be holiday on July 26, 28, 2 and 4 August.

According to the DM, schools located within 5 km radius of Delhi Road, Rampur Road and Kanth Road in Moradabad will remain closed on 21 July i.e. Monday and 23 July (Shivratri). Apart from this, there will also be holidays on 26 July, 28 July, 2 August and 4 August. The DM has given this order regarding the crowd due to Kanwariyas. Actually, during the Kanwar Yatra, thousands of devotees take Ganga water and offer it in temples. This causes crowd on the roads. Many times the route has to be diverted.
Schools in Meerut and Muzaffarnagar also closed till July 23
Earlier, the district administration of Meerut and Muzaffarnagar closed all schools and colleges up to 12th from July 16 to July 23 in view of the safety of students and traffic arrangements in view of the Kanwar Yatra and Shivratri festival. Regarding this, in the order issued by the DM of both the districts, it was said that during this period all basic, secondary, CBSE, ICSE, Madrasa Board, degree colleges and technical institutes will remain closed. Apart from this, this order will be strictly implemented. If any school is found open during the holiday, strict action will be taken against it.
Schools closed on Monday of Sawan in Bareilly
In Bareilly too, the DM had instructed to keep the school closed on Monday of Sawan in view of the crowd of Kanwariyas. At the same time, schools will remain closed on Monday of Sawan in Gola Kokarnath area of Lakhimpur Kheri.
