Bank Holidays Next Week: Check When Will Banks Remain Closed, See RBI Statewise Calendar HERE
As we approach the end of July, bank customers should be mindful of scheduled holidays that could impact their in-person banking needs. With increasing dependence on timely financial transactions—ranging from EMI payments to business-related clearances—staying informed about bank closures is essential to avoid last-minute complications.
From July 21 to 27, physical bank branches will remain closed on select days due to regular weekend offs, as per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar.
This reminder becomes especially relevant given the rise in transactions linked to monthly salary disbursals, credit card billing cycles, and statutory deadlines that often cluster around month-end. Being aware of upcoming bank holidays ensures that individuals and businesses alike can plan their activities without disruption.
Bank Holidays From July 21 To 27
According to the RBI’s list of notified holidays, Saturday, July 26, will be observed as a holiday on account of the fourth Saturday, followed by a standard weekly closure on Sunday, July 27. These closures will apply to all public and private sector banks across the country.
The RBI issues its annual list of holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, which governs financial instruments such as cheques and promissory notes. These holidays may be declared due to national celebrations, state-level festivals, religious events, or other administrative considerations. Since several of these observances are region-specific, it is advisable for customers to verify any additional closures with their local branches.
Transactions involving the clearing of financial instruments are halted on these notified days, underlining the need to plan ahead if such services are required.

Online Services Remain Functional During Holidays
Despite physical closures, digital banking services including internet banking, mobile applications, UPI, and ATM networks, will continue to function normally, barring unexpected outages. These digital alternatives have become increasingly reliable for carrying out urgent transactions, reviewing balances, and transferring funds.
For any time-sensitive requirements, customers should complete necessary in-person banking well before the weekend and monitor official communications or branch notices for region-specific updates. Being prepared in advance can help ensure a smooth banking experience even during scheduled breaks.
