Madhya Pradesh: Villagers Attacks Forest Team In Katni; Team Tried To Stop Villagers From Cultivating Forest Land
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A group of villagers attacked a forest team with sticks when latter tried to stop them from cultivating the forest land in Katni district on Saturday. Police have registered case against five identified villager and others. Further investigation is underway.
The forest department officials received information that villagers had ploughed eight to ten hectare of forest land in Dhimarkheda. A team of forest officials reached there to stop them. Angry villagers attacked the forest team with sticks and tried to prevent it from discharging its duty.
Katni district forest officer Gaurav Mishra said that some members of forest team received minor injuries but one staff member sustained severe injuries. The land belonging to forest department will be taken back from the villagers.
Four-year-old falls from building, dies
In a tragic incident, a four-year-old boy died after he fell down from the first floor of an under- construction building under Chhola Mandir police station limit on Sunday. A case has been registered and further investigations are underway, police said.
According to reports, Ashoka Garden resident Pintu Khadia and his wife are labourers and were working at an under-construction building in Kekda Baramad area.
On Sunday, the duo was working while their four-year-old son Aryan was playing nearby. Aryan went to open balcony on the first floor of the building and fell down. Pintu and other labourers rushed Aryan to a private hospital where he was declared brought dead. Police reached the spot on receiving information and carried out investigation.
