PM Modi Hails Operation Sindoor Success, Calls Monsoon Session A 'Celebration Of Victory'

Ahead of the Monsoon Session of Parliament, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday underscored the country’s major strides in national security and economic stability. In a media address from the national capital, PM Modi described the upcoming session as a “celebration of victory,” asserting that the world had witnessed India’s military prowess and developmental accomplishments.

Referring to the recent counter-terrorism action, the Prime Minister said, “This monsoon session is a celebration of victory. The whole world has seen the strength of India's military power. The target set by the Indian Army in Operation Sindoor was achieved 100 per cent. Under Operation Sindoor, the houses of the masters of terrorists were razed to the ground within 22 minutes.”

The Prime Minister hailed the operation as a symbolic and strategic success, reinforcing India’s firm stance against terrorism. He also noted the diminishing presence of Naxalism across regions that had once been troubled by left-wing extremism, crediting the nation’s security forces for their coordinated and effective response.

Economic Milestones and Global Recognition

During his remarks, PM Modi also spotlighted India’s economic trajectory over the past decade. Recalling conditions before his government assumed office in 2014, he said the inflation rate then was in double digits. “Today, with the rate dropping to around two per cent, it has become a relief and a convenience in the lives of the common people in the country,” he said.

The Prime Minister also highlighted a significant social milestone, stating that “25 crore poor people have come out of poverty, which is being appreciated by many institutions of the world.” His comments come at a time when global institutions have acknowledged India’s strides in poverty reduction and economic resilience.

With Parliament's Monsoon Session now underway, key legislative and policy discussions are expected to unfold against the backdrop of these national achievements.
