Bengaluru: The residents of the city have been enjoying cool weather over the past few days. The city is set to experience heavy rainfall on July 21, 2025. Cloudy skies are also expected in the city, which is expected to remain the same throughout the day.

Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) shared a weather report on X (formerly Twitter) for seven days and wrote,
"Scattered to moderate rain is likely in coastal & hilly districts of the state, with scattered heavy to very heavy rain. Scattered to widespread light to moderate rains and scattered heavy rains are likely in inland districts."
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the rainfall is likely to be accompanied by strong surface winds, thunderstorms, and lightning. Scattered heavy rainfall is predicted in isolated regions of the state. The rainfall is likely to be accompanied by gusty winds. The orange alert has been issued in coastal areas; meanwhile, the yellow alert has been issued in North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Humidity levels may reach around 93 percent, causing the air to feel damp, particularly after rainfall. If you plan to go outside, it's advisable to carry an umbrella or raincoat, as sudden rain showers are common. The weather department has also advised residents and fishermen to avoid going into the sea or any water bodies.
