New Flight Service: Good news for passengers! Now direct flight facility is available from Ghaziabad to these big cities
IndiGo has started a daily direct flight from Kolkata to Ghaziabad’s Hindon Airport, which has improved the connectivity of the NCR region. Hindon has now become IndiGo’s second major hub. This airport, developed under the UDAN scheme, is now offering direct flights to many cities. Air India Express is also providing services from here.
New Flight Service: The country’s largest airline IndiGo has achieved another big milestone! Now a daily direct flight has started between Kolkata and Ghaziabad’s Hindon Airport. Due to this new facility, it has become easier than ever to reach Delhi-NCR region by leaving Kolkata early in the morning.
According to the news, IndiGo’s new flight number 6E 2588 will now fly from Kolkata to Hindon every day. This flight will take off from Kolkata at 5:50 am and land at Hindon Airport at 8:00 am. At the same time, if you want to return to Kolkata from Hindon, then the flight taking off from Hindon at 8:50 am will reach you in Kolkata by 11:00 am.
The timing of this flight has been fixed in such a way that the passengers will neither have the trouble of getting up very early nor the inconvenience of late night. Whether it is a business trip or a family vacation, this flight can prove to be very convenient for the passengers.
IndiGo’s dominance is increasing in NCR
IndiGo has now made Hindon Airport its second major hub to further strengthen its presence in the Delhi-NCR region. After Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, Hindon has now become an important hub for IndiGo in NCR.
Not only Kolkata, IndiGo has also connected Hindon Airport to major cities of the country like Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Goa, Indore, Mumbai, Patna and Varanasi. This means that now passengers are getting the facility of direct flights to every corner of the country from Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad, avoiding the congestion of Delhi Airport.
According to IndiGo’s plan, about 70 flights will be operated from Hindon every week, which will provide passengers the facility of catching flights from near their home.
UDAN scheme gives new flight to small cities
Hindon Airport has been developed under the ambitious UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik) scheme of the Central Government. The aim of this scheme is to connect small cities and towns of the country to big metro cities, so that air travel can be made accessible and affordable for the general public.
The new direct flight started from Kolkata to Hindon Airport will now directly benefit lakhs of people of Ghaziabad, Noida, East and Central Delhi, and Western Uttar Pradesh. Now passengers will not need to go to Delhi’s busy Indira Gandhi International Airport, they will be able to fly from near their home.
Air India Express is also providing service
IndiGo is not the only airline that is making Hindon Airport a part of its strategy. Air India Express has also taken steps in this direction. From March 1 this year, the airline started direct flights from Kolkata to Hindon Airport.
Apart from this, Air India Express is currently also providing services from Hindon to major cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Goa and Jammu. The airline is operating around 40 flights every week from Hindon Airport, providing passengers with even better connectivity options in the NCR region.
