BJD Protests Against Rising Violence and Atrocities on Women in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Opposition Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Monday staged massive protests across Odisha, condemning the increasing incidents of violence and atrocities against women.

The party gheraoed Regional Development Commissioner (RDC) offices in response to two shocking incidents within a week that have rocked the state. The first incident involved the suicide of a female student in Balasore, and the second was an attempt to burn a minor girl alive in Balangir. These incidents have sparked widespread outrage.

Alleging a breakdown in law and order, BJD organized demonstrations outside RDC offices in Cuttack, Sambalpur, and Berhampur, demanding justice and stronger measures to protect women in the state.
