In a significant stride toward fostering innovation and entrepreneurship in the dairy sector, the Veterinary and Livestock Innovation and Incubation Foundation (VLIIF)—a Section 8 company—established at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) has successfully incubated Frontrunner Farmers Pvt Ltd (FFIN). FFIN recruited three students of the university.

He said recruitment of the university’s students by FFIN, showcased how university-led incubation was translating into meaningful employment and entrepreneurial opportunities. Sahil Sharma joined the firm as a field quality and compliance manager, Harshdeep Kaur will serve as a quality analyst in the product development lab, and Dr Simrandeep Singh will coordinate veterinary advisory and upstream research.
Dr PS Brar, Director of Research and Director, VLIIF, congratulated the team for their efforts in nurturing innovation and creating tangible outcomes through incubation and job creation.
Dr RS Grewal, Director of Extension Education and Director, VLIIF, said the initiative underscored the growing significance of incubation centres at universities serving as engines for innovation, student skill development and job creation.
