OnePlus To Unveil New Tablet In India Tomorrow, Likely To Be Pad Lite

OnePlus has officially announced that it will reveal a new tablet on July 23 at 12pm IST in India, accompanied by a teaser silhouette clearly depicting a slate-form device. This announcement comes ahead of the scheduled September arrival of the premium OnePlus Pad 3, leading to the logical inference that this mid-summer launch in India is aimed at the more affordable OnePlus Pad Lite — a device already introduced in the UK and select European markets on July 8.

The OnePlus Pad Lite is positioned as a budget-oriented alternative, delivering a balanced feature set. It sports an 11‑inch HD+ (1,920 × 1,200) LCD panel with a 90 Hz refresh rate and up to 500 nits brightness, offering vivid daytime visibility. Powering the tablet is a MediaTek Helio G100 chipset, paired with up to 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage, running Android 15-based OxygenOS 15.0.1.

A key highlight is the sizeable 9,340 mAh battery, supported by 33 W SuperVOOC fast charging, promising long usage periods with minimal recharge time. For audio, the Pad Lite features a quad-speaker setup certified for Hi-Res Audio, delivering immersive sound in media consumption .

The tablet’s design includes dual 5-megapixel front and rear cameras, LTE connectivity option, USB‑C port, and a sleek, lightweight body measuring around 166×255×7.4 mm and weighing approximately 530 g. It will also ship with features like OnePlus Kids Mode, cross-device sync, and Open Canvas multitasking, aligning with OnePlus's focus on both entertainment and productivity.

In India, expectation is high for a retail price below Rs. 20,000, echoing its global pricing of £169–199 (approx Rs. 19,000–23,000) depending on RAM and network support.

OnePlus has also confirmed the arrival of the OnePlus Pad 3 in September. The tablet has already launched in China and will arrive in the Indian market in two months.  The Pad 3 is a more premium device and it features a 13.2-inch 3.4K display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and a large 12,140mAh battery with 80W fast charging.
