India continues to reel under the impact of relentless monsoon rains, with natural disasters striking multiple states. In Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi district, a massive landslide was caught on camera in the Ot area along the national highway. A large boulder detached from the hillside and came crashing down, narrowly missing vehicles and pedestrians. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported, but fear grips the locals as such incidents are becoming more frequent due to continuous rainfall.In the northeastern state of Assam, Guwahati is submerged after heavy downpours caused severe waterlogging. Streets resemble rivers, with 2–3 feet of standing water reported in several areas. Vehicles struggle to pass, and normal life has been severely disrupted.Meanwhile, in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, a speeding car lost control and plunged into the Bhogavati River. The car flipped after crashing into the river, but thanks to local bystanders, the passengers were rescued in time. The injured have been admitted to a hospital and are reportedly out of danger.The IMD has issued alerts in several states, urging people to avoid vulnerable zones. With landslides, flooding, and accidents on the rise, the monsoon continues to pose a grave challenge across India.
