Another Bomb Threat Email Sent To Bengaluru School, Days After Series Of Hoax Alerts

A private school in East Bengaluru was evacuated on Tuesday after receiving a bomb threat via email, causing panic among students, parents, and staff. The threat was sent to Chrysalis High School in Varthur, a few days after similar threats were made against a number of local schools.

Police confirmed that the school received the threat through email, prompting immediate action from the management. According to India Today reports, Parents were quickly informed and asked to pick up their children as a precautionary measure. “Manual checking of the school is over. Nothing substantial has been found. The dog squad is on the way for further inspection,” a senior police officer told as per Deccan Herald.

According to the media reports, the school alerted authorities soon after receiving the threat. As a safety measure, the building was cleared, and police teams began a thorough inspection. No explosives or suspicious objects have been found so far.

Hoax threat email last week

This latest scare follows a series of hoax threats sent to over 40 schools across Bengaluru earlier this month. Those incidents also led to evacuations and large-scale security sweeps, but all were eventually declared false alarms.

More details are expected as the probe progresses.
