Many times, these stars appear in films simply as a gesture of friendship. But did you know that even a superstar like Prabhas once did a cameo in a film? He played a very small role – so small that most people might not even realise it was him.

You’re probably wondering – Where exactly was Prabhas in the film? Well, let us tell you. At the beginning of the movie, when the name of the production house, Vishwamitra Creations, appears on the screen, a sage is shown who makes a mistake and then raises his kamandal (water pot) toward the sky. That sage was played by none other than Prabhas.

Where was Prabhas in Yamadonga movie?

Prabhas may have played a small role in the film, but it was certainly impactful. In Yamadonga, the 2007 film directed by S.S. Rajamouli, Jr. NTR played the lead role of Raja. Mohan Babu portrayed the powerful character of Yamraj, while Mamta Mohandas and Priyamani appeared as the female leads.

In the movie, Prabhas appears for just a few seconds. To be specific, he wasn’t actually part of the main film but featured in a test shoot for the role of Vishwamitra. So, in Yamadonga, Prabhas made a brief guest appearance.

The film was inspired by the 1977 classic Yamagola. The plot follows Raja, a thief who is killed by his rivals. His soul then travels to Naraka (hell), where he must face judgment for his sins at the hands of Yama, the Hindu god of death and justice.

Yamadonga received positive response from the audience and approximately collected Rs 47.60 crore worldwide. This film is also the highest-grossing Telugu film of the year of 2007. The film won four Nandi Awards while Jr NTR went on to win the Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu.
