‘Saiyaara se Aashiqui ho gayi hai mujhe,’ says Shraddha Kapoor in a heartfelt post

Saiyaara has been taking over the Indian box office the past weekend, an astonishing feat for a romance-driven film. Mohit Suri, known for his work in the genre, helmed the film. Suri is best remembered for the heartbreaking emotional rollercoaster Aashaqui 2, a film that Saiyaara has often been compared to. Much like Saiyaara, the film also revolves around a troubled musician.

Shraddha Kapoor, who stars as the female lead in Aashaqui 2, finds parallels in the rise of debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. On Tuesday, Kapoor lauded Saiyaara subtly acknowledging the comparisons. Taking to her Instagram stories, the actress penned, “Saiyaara se Aashiqui ho gayi hai mujhe (I’ve fallen in love with Saiyaara).”

Praising a standout scene from the film, she wrote, “pure cinema, pure drama, pure magic. Uff…bohot time baad itna emotion feel kiya hai…Iss moment ke liye 5 baar dekhungi (Felt so emotional after such a long time... I’ll watch it five times just for this moment)."
