Later, he took her to his aunt’s house in Ashok Nagar, a place they had visited once before on July 11, where he had behaved appropriately. However, during this visit, Mishra left her alone under the pretext of getting medicine. Upon returning, he allegedly attempted to sexually assault her by inappropriately touching and kissing her private parts. The victim managed to resist and demanded to be taken back to her hostel, which he eventually did. The incident left her mentally traumatized and depressed. The victim was taken to Bhatakumarada Medical Centre and later referred to MKCG Medical College for treatment.

Based on prima facie evidence, Mishra was arrested and forwarded to the Court, according to Berhampur SP Dr. Saravana Vivek M.
