Prime Video announces ‘Too Much with Kajol and Twinkle’; Bollywood’s queens of sass get their own talk show
Expect nothing less than fireworks and a ton of sass when two of Bollywood's wittiest women team up on-screen. Actresses Kajol and Twinkle Khanna are joining forces for a brand-new talk show, titled Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle, coming soon to Prime Video. Known for their razor-sharp humour, unapologetic opinions, and no-nonsense personalities, the duo promises to deliver a talk show that’s as bold as it is entertaining.
The announcement dropped today via Prime Video India’s Instagram, featuring a playful first-look poster with Kajol and Twinkle staring incredulously at the camera from behind velvet curtains. The caption teased, “They’ve got the tea, and it’s two much to miss,” and it immediately attracted the attention of netizens. Both stars are known for their infectious charm and fierce wit. Brought together, the pairing already feels like talk show gold.
Speaking about the series, Nikhil Madhok, the Director and Head of Originals at Prime Video India, describes it as a first-of-its-kind talk show. He lauded the duo, labelling them as “two of the sharpest voices in Indian entertainment”, aiming to redefine the genre. “With a mix of charismatic celebrities on the guest list, Kajol and Twinkle will bring their signature blend of wit, feistiness, and unparalleled insights to sparkling conversations that are humorous, unfiltered, and unapologetic,” he added.
Although the two actresses have never co-starred in any film, they’ve previously shared the screen on The Icons, a talk show run by Twinkle’s Tweak India. Both of them showcased their chemistry in blunt and unscripted conversations that touched on everything from parenting to pop culture. Two Much promises to bring that energy to a larger platform with bigger guests, deeper dives, and plenty of moments that will likely go viral. While Kajol has been bringing out some unfiltered peeks into her personality and her family on social media, Twinkle is a noted author and columnist who showcases her sarcasm and brutal honesty under the name Mrs Funnybones.
Fans are calling for Twinkle and Kajol to “cook Akki & Devgn in the first episode”, referring to their respective husbands, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn. Adding to the buzz, Kumar has dropped a cheeky comment under the announcement post: “Already scared just seeing you two together on the poster, can’t imagine the chaos on the actual show!”, bringing out the signature banter in their marriage and delighting the fans.
