This will improve the facility of movement between South Delhi and Central Delhi. The length of this corridor will be 8.38 km and this corridor will be elevated. There will be eight metro stations on this corridor. The central government had approved the construction of this corridor on 24 March 2024 before the Lok Sabha elections last year.

This corridor will connect the current Lajpat Nagar metro station of the Violet Line to the Saket G Block station of the Golden Line (Tughlakabad-Aerocity) under construction in Phase 4 to the metro network.
A three-coach metro will run on this corridor. This will make the length of the platform of this corridor 74 meters, which is less than the platforms of other metro lines. About 300 passengers will be able to travel in one coach of the metro train of this corridor. Therefore, about 900 passengers will be able to travel in one metro train of this corridor at a time.
