1 held for killing drug addict

The Goindwal Sahib police have arrested one of the two persons who were booked in connection with the death of an addict.

The deceased addict was identified as Chamkaur Singh (24), a resident of Tur village. The accused were identified as Bhupinder Singh Bhinda and Lovepreet Singh Manga of the same village. The victim had died on Sunday night under the mysterious circumstances.

Pooran Singh, the victim’s father, had filed a complaint with the Goindwal Sahib police, stating that the accused came to his house and injected him with high doses of a drug. Later, his condition became serious. The police said Lovepreet Singh had been arrested while Bhupinder Singh Bhinda was absconding. A case under Sections 105 and 3 (5) of the BNS was registered against the accused.
