Fatehabad cops introduce QR code feedback system for improved policing

The Fatehabad police has launched a new initiative to make policing more transparent, accountable and responsive. The district is introducing a QR code-based feedback system, which is claimed to be the first of its kind in Haryana. This technology allows citizens to directly assess the quality of services provided by the police.

The QR codes are placed at key police contact points, including police stations, chowkis, traffic points, PCR vehicles and women’s help desks. The citizens can scan these codes with their mobile phones to access a feedback form, where they can rate the service quality, the behaviour of police personnel and how effectively their issues are addressed. This allows the public to share their experiences and helps improve the overall police service delivery.

Siddhant Jain stated that the initiative not only enhanced transparency and encouraged public participation but also provided valuable real time data for the police. It helped the authorities identify areas that needed improvement and take corrective action swiftly. The system also supports decision-making by offering insights into service quality and operational efficiency. Jain further explained that the goal of the initiative was to create a more responsible and transparent policing environment. It aims to ensure that every citizen’s voice is heard, and their feedback is taken seriously. The QR Code system will particularly benefit senior citizens, women and people from remote rural areas by providing them with a convenient and effective way to share their experiences.
