Karnataka Lokayukta Conducts Raids Against Govt Officials In DA Cases. Here's What They Found

In a major crackdown on corruption, the Karnataka Lokayukta police conducted simultaneous raids on Wednesday across multiple districts, targeting eight government officials in connection with disproportionate assets (DA) cases.

Raids were carried out in Bengaluru, Koppal, Kalaburagi, Tumakuru, Mysuru, Madikeri, and Bidar, officials confirmed, as per a report on Deccan Herald. In Bidar, sleuths recovered cash, gold ornaments, high-end watches, and other valuables from the residence of Maruthi Bagli, Assistant Director of Town and Country Planning.

 


Among those under the scanner is senior IAS officer Vasanthi Amar B.V., currently serving as Special Deputy Commissioner at the Rail Infrastructure Development Company (Karnataka) Limited (K-RIDE).
