This actress who worked with Govinda, Rajinikanth, got married at peak of her career, got settled abroad, her husband put his career at stake, she suffered from…, her name is…

Actress Shilpa Shirodkar, who was a part of many big Bollywood films in the 90s, recently shared a less talked-about but important story of her life. She said that after the death of her parents, she went into severe depression. At that time, her husband Aparesh Ranjit left his well-paying job in New Zealand to support her.

Who is Shilpa Shirodkar’s husband?

Shilpa married Aparesh in 2000. He was a UK-based banker. After marriage, both of them settled in New Zealand and were living a stable life there with their daughter Anushka. But when Shilpa was broken from inside after losing her parents, she decided to return to India. Shilpa says that she just wanted to be close to her sister, Namrata Shirodkar.

Here’s what Shilpa revealed about her life

She said, “I neither ran after films nor tried for TV. I did not do any PR, nor any photoshoot. I just wanted to come to India and stay with my sister.” Shilpa said that around 2010 when she talked about coming back to India, her husband Aparesh’s career was at its peak. But he left his job without any hesitation and shifted to India with his family.

How Shilpa’s husband helped her

She says, “If Aparesh was not with me at that time, then perhaps I would not be sitting here today. He left everything and said let’s try something new”. Actually, she herself did not know that she was depressed. She used to cry all the time, had stopped talking to people, and did not feel like doing any work. She used to take out her anger on her husband; she even raised her hand on her daughter once or twice.

Still, her husband and family supported her completely. With the help of a counselor and the presence of her loved ones, she was able to slowly come out of that difficult phase. Now, years later, she recalled that phase and told how her family became her biggest strength.
