Western Railway launches 'Rail Coach Restaurant' at Bandra Railway Station

Taking another step towards providing better facilities and convenient experience to the passengers, Mumbai Central Division of Western Railway launched "Rail Coach Restaurant" at Bandra Station on 19th July, 2025. The restaurant was inaugurated by Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Ramdas Athawale and Hon'ble Minister of Information Technology and Cultural Affairs, Maharashtra State, Adv. Ashish Shelar. This restaurant is one of the major attractions of 'Bandra Station Mahotsav'.

This new Rail Coach Restaurant reflects Western Railway 's commitment to provide the best in class amenities to its passengers. A defunct rail coach has been given a unique makeover by converting it into a state-of-the-art, well - equipped air -conditioned restaurant. This initiative presents a beautiful amalgamation of heritage and modernity, offering a distinctive and comfortable dining experience to passengers and the general public. The restaurant will be open 24x7 and will serve delicious dishes of both vegetarian and non - vegetarian cuisine, prepared keeping in mind the varied tastes of daily commuters, tourists and food lovers.

With this new facility at Bandra Station, Western Railway is continuously developing the railway infrastructure by providing modern and attractive facilities to its passengers.
