Power Cut Tips

During a power outage, the residents are urged to stay prepared by charging essential devices like mobile phones and emergency lights beforehand. Unplugging electronic appliances is recommended to safeguard them from possible voltage fluctuations when electricity returns.

In localities where water supply depends on electric pumps, storing adequate water in advance is advisable. To prevent spoilage, refrigerator and freezer doors should be kept closed as much as possible. In warmer conditions, staying hydrated and ensuring proper ventilation can help manage the heat. Authorities have also called on the public to look out for vulnerable neighbours, including the elderly and those with health issues. Power restoration is expected to be carried out swiftly, and emergency helpline numbers remain available for assistance.
