Meta updates Threads analytics with additional audience insights

Meta has rolled out new updates to Threads Insights aimed at providing creators with more detailed data on how their posts are performing and how audiences are discovering their content. According to Meta, these changes are intended to support creators in understanding what types of content resonate with their followers and in tracking growth over time.

The different insights that creators have access to on Threads

Starting July 23, the platform's users will have access to expanded analytics features within the Insights dashboard. Meta stated, “We’re doing more to make Threads the best place for sharing fresh perspectives, and continuing to help creators build and grow their communities on Threads.”

The updated Insights feature now allows users to tap on individual metrics for a more detailed information. For example, tapping the 'Interactions' section will display engagement data broken down by likes, replies, quotes, and reposts. The 'Followers' section will include geographic and demographic data such as top cities, countries, age ranges, and gender of followers.

A new performance comparison tool is also being introduced, enabling creators to view post performance trends over a time range of seven to 90 days. The chart includes data on both views and interactions.

Additionally, Meta is providing information on content discovery sources. Creators will now be able to see where their content is being encountered, including external discovery on other Meta platforms. The company noted that eligible Threads posts may be recommended to users on Instagram and Facebook, potentially expanding a creator’s reach beyond the platform itself.
