IPL 2026 Mega Trades: Three Players Who Might Wear New Jerseys Next Season

There are still around eight months remaining for the start of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, but the excitement and discussions around the next edition have already started picking up.

The IPL 2026 trade window opened soon after the conclusion of the previous season. Since then, there has been growing speculation about several big-name players possibly being traded.

As per reports, the teams of three Indian players, including Sanju Samson, could change before the next season.

These Three Players Could Be Traded

Sanju Samson

According to multiple reports, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are interested in acquiring Rajasthan Royals captain and star wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson through trade.

Many sources have suggested that Samson may become a part of the CSK squad in the next season. With MS Dhoni expected to move away from playing duties, CSK is looking for an experienced and reliable wicketkeeper-batsman. That’s one of the key reasons why the franchise is eyeing Samson.

Ishan Kishan

Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan represented Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2025. His performance was decent, having scored 354 runs across 14 matches.

As per reports, Ishan may be traded to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the next season. KKR is searching for a quality wicketkeeper-batter to strengthen their lineup, which is why Kishan is reportedly on their radar.

Venkatesh Iyer

Venkatesh Iyer was signed by KKR for ₹23.75 crore, but he failed to leave a major mark. Iyer managed just 142 runs at an average of around 21 in the 2025 season.

While KKR is on the lookout for a strong wicketkeeper-batsman, Hyderabad wants a dependable Indian all-rounder who can perform with both bat and ball. According to reports, this could lead to a trade involving Iyer (SRH) and Kishan (KKR) between the two franchises.
