This little girl in the photo made her Bollywood debut with Amitabh Bachchan, gave 10 flops in a row, now owns a private island worth Rs…, her name is…

Majority of the Indian film stars have opulent lifestyles, often bragging about their fleet of luxury cars, sprawling bungalows and private jets. Yet, one Bollywood actress stands out with an exceptionally desirable asset- a private island.

Who is the only Indian actress to own a private Island?

Jacqueline Fernandez, a prominent Indian actress, who has been in the entertainment industry for over two decades, is the only actress to own a private island. Located in the southern coast of Sri Lanka, the island was purchased by her in 2012. According to reports, the actress paid $600K (approximately Rs 3 crore) to purchase the four-acre island.

Jacqueline’s decision to acquire an island was to build a lavish villa. However, it still remains unclear whether the property was meant for personal use or for commercial purposes, such as renting it out for business. According to reports, her villa is located in the upscale real estate, close to the area that was once owned by former Sri Lankan cricket great Kumar Sangakkara.

More about Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez started her career as a model, and was crowned Miss Sri Lanka in 2006. Although she made her Bollywood debut in 2012 with Aladin alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Ritesh Deshmukh, she got her big break in 2011 with Murder 2. Following that, she became a popular commercial actress, starring in hits like Housefull 2 and Race 2.

However, after a string of few box office disappointments, Jacqueline starred in Housefull 5, opposite Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and others. The film grossed over Rs 300 crore, becoming the second highest-grossing film of 2025.
