India, UK To Ink Free Trade Pact During PM Modi's Visit

India will sign a long-awaited free trade agreement (FTA) with the United Kingdom when Prime Minister Narendra Modi lands in London on July 24. Finalised after three years of on-and-off talks, the deal will cut tariffs on UK whisky, cars, and food items while offering Indian textiles and electric vehicles duty-free access to the British market. The UK calls it its biggest post-Brexit trade deal and the best deal India has ever agreed to.
