iPhone 17 price and launch date in India revealed, camera and design also revealed
The price and launch date of the new iPhone 17 has been revealed. Along with this, information about the camera and design has also come to light. Let us know how much will the iPhone 17 cost in India and what will be its launch date.
iPhone 17 price: Apple is preparing to launch its iPhone 17 lineup in the Indian market. According to the leak, the series will include four models: the standard iPhone 17, the redesigned ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air, the high-performance iPhone 17 Pro, and the top-tier iPhone 17 Pro Max. All models will feature Apple’s custom-developed Wi-Fi 7 chip, which promises faster and more efficient wireless connectivity.
The base iPhone 17 is likely to have a larger 6.3-inch OLED screen, which could eventually support a 120Hz refresh rate. However, it will not have LTPO (low-temperature polycrystalline oxide) display technology—which Apple markets as ProMotion, which is reserved only for the Pro variants and allows adaptive refresh rates.
According to reports, Apple is planning to discontinue the ‘Plus’ version and launch the iPhone 17 Air in its place. This new model is expected to be thinner, lighter and more design-oriented than its predecessor. Apart from this, an improved version of Dynamic Island can be introduced in the entire iPhone 17 series, which will provide a more fluid and refined user interface.
iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max price in India, UAE and USA: Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 series could launch in India at a starting price of around Rs 79,900. However, prices could increase globally due to rising manufacturing costs and US-China trade tensions, including tariffs under policies implemented by the Trump administration. In the US, the base iPhone 17 could be priced around $899, while in the UAE the starting variant could be priced around AED 3,799, and premium models could cost even more.
iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max launch date in India: Apple is reportedly planning to launch its iPhone 17 series in mid-September 2025. This new lineup will include the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and the flagship iPhone 17 Pro Max. They are expected to be officially announced in the second week of the month. According to Bloomberg’s renowned Apple journalist Mark Gurman, the launch event could take place on September 8, 9, or 10. Other industry experts, such as 9to5Mac, believe that pre-orders will begin on Friday, September 12, and in-store sales and shipping could possibly begin around September 19.
iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max camera: Apple is preparing to significantly upgrade the iPhone 17’s front-facing camera, increasing its resolution to 24MP to allow for more detailed selfies and improved video clarity. On the back, the regular model is likely to feature a dual-camera system with a 48MP primary sensor. In contrast, the Pro Max variant is rumoured to have three 48MP lenses – main, ultra-wide, and telephoto functions – all of which will reportedly be capable of capturing ultra-HD 8K footage. This is one of the most significant leaps in the iPhone lineup’s camera technology in recent years.
iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max design: Apple is reportedly bringing back aluminium frames for the entire iPhone 17 lineup, including the high-end Pro and Pro Max models. This is a change from the previous approach, where aluminium was primarily used in budget-friendly options like the iPhone SE and iPhone 16, while top-tier models had stainless steel or, more recently, lightweight titanium builds in the iPhone 15 Pro. The move indicates that Apple is moving towards a more unified design language across variants, possibly to reduce weight and maintain a consistent aesthetic across the range.
