Bengaluru Stampede Victim’s Parent Alleges Theft Of Gold Ornaments During Autopsy
A fresh controversy has emerged in the aftermath of the tragic stampede that claimed 11 lives near the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on June 4, as a parent of one of the victims has filed a police complaint alleging theft of gold ornaments from the deceased’s body. The complaint was lodged on Thursday at the Commercial Street Police Station, where the parent claimed that gold jewellery worn by the victim was missing after the body was brought in for post-mortem.
The theft allegedly occurred inside the autopsy section, raising serious concerns about security and oversight within the mortuary premises.
According to ANI, the complainant has requested an investigation into the missing valuables, which were reportedly intact when the body was taken to the post-mortem facility but were unaccounted for when it was handed back to the family.
