IMD Alert: The southwest monsoon has now started showing its color in North and East India. The monsoon has gained more speed due to the continuous movement in the Bay of Bengal. Good rains have been recorded in West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh as well as Delhi-NCR. More good rains are expected in the coming time. Heavy to very heavy rains have been forecast in the high mountainous regions. In such a situation, the situation is likely to worsen due to rain in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Delhi and surrounding areas will get relief from rain till 24 and 25 July, but after that there is a possibility of heavy rains in the entire area. Torrential rains in states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand are auspicious for farming, because this is the time for transplanting paddy and for that water is needed in the fields. Good rain will make up for that deficiency.

The movement in the Bay of Bengal has increased. The low pressure area is likely to turn into a depression on July 25, which will be more focused on the sea part of North Odisha and West Bengal. The main center of the system will remain over the sea right now, but weather activities in the interior parts will start from Thursday, July 24. Their intensity is expected to increase on July 25. From July 26, this system will start coming in contact with the monsoon trough, which will increase both the scope and severity of its effect. Due to this, heavy rains can be seen in East and North India. Its effect will be seen in states like West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar. Apart from this, it is likely to have a wide impact in Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and North Indian plains.

Due to both these systems, there is a stir in the weather in the capital. A new low pressure area is likely to form in the North Bay of Bengal, which will also get support from the upper air cyclone. This system will land on July 26 and move towards the Indo-Gangetic plains. Due to this, strong easterly winds will blow in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi between July 26 and 31 and the monsoon trough will shift south from its normal place. Due to this, a long and good period of rain will be seen in Delhi and the plains of North India.
