Punjab News: BSF Shoots Down 6 Drones Carrying Drugs & Weapons Along International Border

Chandigarh: The Border Security Force (BSF) on Thursday claimed to have shot down as many as six drones carrying drugs and weapons smuggled from across the international border in multiple operations since late Wednesday night.

According to information, the BSF troops shot down six drones and recovered four pistols and over 1 kg heroin attached with them. The BSF troops intercepted and neutralised five China-made DJI Mavic 3 Classic drones which carried three pistols, three magazines and 1.07 kg heroindrones in the Modhe village, district Amritsar alone.

In another operation, the BSF troops along with Punjab police teams, recovered parts of pistols, a magazine in Dal village in Tarn Taran district. In another operation, BSF troops neutralised a DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone in Attari village, district Amritsar, and recovered a pistol and two magazines attached with it.

It may be recalled that the BSF troops had shot down as many as six drones and recovered 2.34 kg of heroin dropped by them in the Amritsar border on July 18, last.
