Employee service to be regularised after two years under Trainee Policy
The state government has introduced a new Trainee Policy to end the ad hoc system to ensure the regularisation of the services of employees after two years.
A government spokesperson today clarified that the aim of the new Trainee Policy was to make the functioning of departments more smooth, efficient and effective.
He said that previously, the period for regularising the services of contractual employees depended on ad hoc decisions and the discretion of the government in power and this duration varied from two to eight years.
He said that there was no provision in the new policy to terminate the services of any trainee after two years. To resolve these issues, the government issued the new Trainee Policy on July 19.
In the earlier system, employees were kept on contract for two years while under the new system, the selected candidates would serve as trainees for two years.
He said that a departmental examination would be conducted after two-year training, for which the Personnel Department would soon issue detailed guidelines. The services of all candidates selected through the HPPSC and the Rajya Chayan Aayog would be regularised after the completion of the two-year trainee period.
