Heavy rains continue to lash Mumbai and several parts of Maharashtra, prompting the issuance of red and orange alerts in multiple districts. A red alert has been issued for Pune, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Kolhapur, Satara, and Sindhudurg, indicating the possibility of extremely heavy rainfall. Meanwhile, Palghar and Thane districts are under orange alert, suggesting heavy but not extreme rainfall. Authorities have urged residents to remain cautious, especially in low-lying and coastal areas where high tide conditions may prevail.
